Post issued in November 2000 a set of five postal stationery
Christmas Cards. One is depicting "Nissetoget" ("the Santa Claus
Train") with a steam locomotive and Christmas dwarfs on the
picture side. This is an illustration from a children story written
by the Norwegian author, songwriter and singer Alf Prøysen
(1914-1970). His children's books and ballads have won him esteem
and popularity both at home and abroad. The pre-printed indicium on
the card's back-side, which pays postage within Norway, is of no
railway interest.
